Vijay is currently undertaking a National Medical Directors Clinical Fellowship with the NHSE Cancer Programme. He is a medical doctor with a General Practice background. Vijay has a keen interest in healthcare policy development and healthcare improvement acknowledging the need for expert clinical leadership and management at the core of these processes. He has focussed on the national recovery policy of cancer over the Covid-19 pandemic with a particular emphasis on tumour sites with a deficit in detection and treatment over this period. In addition to this, he is interested in focussing on healthcare collaboration between primary and secondary care stakeholders and the digital transformation being undertaken to underpin this.
