I am now retired living in Reading after a lifetime in the IT industry retiring as a project manager. I emigrated from Barbados in the West Indies in my teens, finished my education Sheffield before work commitments brought me to Thames Valley over 40 years ago. My allotment and garden keeps me occupied in the summer; I have starting grown grapes to experiment with wine making. I tend to spend some the winter months in Barbados. With regards to Prostate cancer, I had a prostatectomy by keyhole surgery 2014 and I have taken the view that greater awareness of the prevalence of disease should be made so that there is increased vigilance and with that fewer late detections.
