My role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare incorporates holistic needs assessments of patients with cancer diagnoses. I support them and assist with coordinating care packages across LloydsPharmacy Clinical Homecare and broader services. A significant part of the role is attending to the needs of patients experiencing emotional, psychological, and social difficulties due to their disease. Having trained as a nurse in the early 80s, I have seen many changes but what remains unchanged are the human needs of people experiencing illness and trauma. Keeping the person at the centre of everything I do in my practice is something I hold dear.
