Megan is a Senior Specialist Dietitian and Macmillan Professional and has been working at The Royal Marsden Hospital in a service development role as part of the Senior Adult Oncology Programme (SAOP), which aims to support older adults with cancer receiving systemic anti-cancer treatment, since 2021.
During her career she has led on many service developments, particularly in prehabilitation and rehabilitation, further specialising in the area by completing an MSc module in partnership with Macmillan. Megan is also joint Education & Resource Officer for the Prehabilitation Sub-Group of the British Dietetic Association’s Oncology Specialist Group.
As well as service development, Megan has a passion for research, and is undertaking a Pre-Doctoral Fellowship in 2023-25 with the hopes this will lead to a Doctorate involving rehabilitation. She often presents her work at study days and conferences, both nationally and internationally.
In addition to her SAOP role at The Royal Marsden, Megan is a Preceptorship champion, supporting new graduates & junior staff, works on the World Cancer Research Fund’s Nutrition Helpline, and is an Allied Health Professional member of the International Society of Geriatric Oncology.
