Cancer Education UK
Mary started Cancer Education UK in 2016 after she observed the disparities which patients from ethnic diverse backgrounds and low socioeconomic backgrounds face. The charity aims to raise awareness of cancer symptoms and screenings, to tackle cancer care inequalities so that no one is denied timely and appropriate medical care due to their race, religion, ethnicity or socio-economic circumstances.
To support cancer patients and their families by providing a helpline, grocery shopping, companionship at appointments and free complementary therapy and to support cancer patients as they reintegrate into the workplace.
