Jo’s research programme aims to enhance supportive care provided to patients to help optimise the benefits of treatment whilst living as well as possible with the effects of cancer and consequences of its’ treatment. She has extensive experience of developing complex interventions and evaluating their outcomes through randomised controlled trials and mixed method research designs. Recently she has conducted a study assessing factors that impact diagnosis and management of cancer in people who are in prison and studies focused on developing and testing digital cancer interventions, including the eSMART study.
