Alex leads the specialist Psycho-oncology team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and has been a longstanding committee member of the British Psychological Society's Faculty of Oncology & Palliative Care (BPS SIGOPAC). Alex is actively engaged in clinically-focused research & quality improvement projects within a wider a vision to develop psychologically-minded cancer care systems. Highlights include the 2017 BMJ Awards for Surgery and Patient Partnership with the PREPARE prehabilitation team, the 2018 Anthony Nolan Clinical Supporter Award & input to the Nolan post-transplant care pathway, the 2020 pan-London commissioning guidance on cancer psychosocial support, and translating our research project on ‘Living With & Beyond Cancer’ into the ‘ARC’ pilot clinic for personalised rehabilitation & supportive care.
