Mr Ahmed has a very innovative practice using the latest technologies in head and neck reconstructive planning, the use of sentinel node surgery in oral cancer and Trans Oral Robotic Surgery.
He has a strong interest in teaching and training. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London. Educational supervisor for the London School of Surgery, and runs regular courses in Reconstructive Surgery, ATLS, and Microvascular surgical techniques.
Mr Ahmed is also a Clinical tutor at the Griffin institute a charitable research facility for biomedical research and surgical training . He teaches on the renowned microsurgery course for surgeons at Northwick Park , which has been training microsurgeons for more then 30 years.
As a clinical researcher, he is involved in several clinical trials in oncology, and regularly presents in international meetings.
