    Cancer Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) in the NHS are struggling to cope with the volume of patients referred for treatment. NHS England proposes a process of “introducing Standards of Care as a routine part of MDT to stratify patient cases into those which require full multidisciplinary discussion in the MDT, and those cases which can be listed but not discussed in the MDT. We have clinically evaluated and deployed an expert system to automate this process in prostate cancer.
