24 May 2022
In this inspirational and uplifting talk, Luke will talk about his personal journey through cancer, which challenges the medical community to rethink their approach to mindset, treatment and exercise. Luke was diagnosed with rare and aggressive stage IV cancer aged 24, with a very poor prognosis. Luke talks about how he cycled his bike in hospital, ran the Bristol Half Marathon halfway through chemotherapy, and the power of helping yourself in a situation where patients often feel powerless. Luke uses his background in science (First Class degree in Biological Sciences) to bridge the gap between patient and care professional. This talk is guaranteed to leave a lasting impact and plenty of food for thought.
