Learning from experiences of remote appointments in the diagnosis of cancer
Remote appointments by telephone and video have brought multiple benefits to healthcare professionals and patients as well as some challenges. This session will explore the findings of the Remote Appointments for Suspected Cancer Referrals qualitative study which captured the experiences of patients, unpaid carers and NHS staff. The interactive 30 minute session will open a discussion around the learning we can take from this study and explore the practical ways in which remote appointments for cancer symptoms can be developed to improve the experiences of patients and healthcare professionals.
