Radiotherapy is a common treatment for many different cancers, using radiation. Although the treatment is highly targeted, there are side effects associated with the treatment due to some normal tissue being damaged. Whilst undergoing Radiotherapy, challenges can be physical and psychological - affecting both the individual and their families.

It’s important we we as health care professionals learn how we can understand and empower patients during what can be a difficult time in the patient journey.
